The task is very simple. Here is a step-by-step walkthrough:

1) You must have the complete, correct URL (address, or link) to the picture.

* It should look something like this: [ img ]http://www.tinypic.com/someimage.jpg [ /img ]

* not a URL to your hard drive. If the URL doesn't start with http:// it's not a valid URL

* If the URL doesn't end with .jpg, .gif, or .jpeg then it's not an image URL.

2) If the picture is NOT on the internet, then YOU need to put it up. A list of free providers will be listed at the bottom. Upload it to a free server and then you will be able to link to it. Check for direct link after uploading

2) With that complete URL, you must insert it into your post. Paste your URL & select it than Click on the little "IMG" icon It will look something like this:
[ img ]http://www.nainlove.com/someimage.jpg [ /img ]

3) Ok, I promised a list of easy and free providers. Note the easy,

https://www.photobucket.com
http://www.shareapic.net
http://www.imageshack.us
http://www.imagehigh.com
http://www.pictiger.com
http://www.tinypic.com

If anyone has more that they feel are worthy, PM me! I'll put them up right away - as long as I get onto the forums okay.

4) important: testing your image
This is important, as your image may appear fine to you, but it will not appear fine to everyone else. If you want to make sure it works here are some things you can do:

* delete your "Temporary Internet Files" and then refresh the forums thread with your post in it. If the image is still there, then your host allows external linking, and you're fine (at least as far as that concern goes). (With Internet Explorer it's done this way: Tools | Internet Options | Delete Files)

* have someone else check if they can see it. This is the best way to test it if you want to absolutely make sure it's ok.
